Seoul, South Korea: The Magic of Wall Art

Walking the streets of Seoul, I never cease to be amazed at how art envelops this city. It's amazing! You see, as if the walls are talking to you. The wall art here is honestly amazing. I can't help but mention how it all comes to life even in the most ordinary nooks and crannies. Posters, paintings, brightly painted walls - all this seems to give the city its rhythm, makes it more alive. You walk and involuntarily stop to examine the details once again.

My thoughts on posters and paintings

If we talk about painting or poster, there is something captivating about it. In Seoul, they often tell the stories of the city. Oh, it's interesting how a simple picture on the wall can make you think, smile or, on the contrary, feel sad. Each poster is like a separate chapter, you learn something new and unexpected in the culture. Even in the cafe I saw the same canvas prints with great masters and not only Korean ones. All this creates an atmosphere.

Interesting places for art in Seoul

  • The Hongdae area and its street art are simply indescribable beauty!
  • Samcheon Gallery - amazing works of contemporary artists are exhibited there.
  • Dongdaemun Square - curious installations are pleasing to the eye.

Sometimes it seems to me that everyone in Seoul has conspired to show how art can be everywhere. Well, how could it be otherwise?! And it's wonderful. Walking around the city, I notice how people take pictures of posters, seemingly without even realizing how they add to every secluded corner of their vision. Oh, it's inspiring, I want to have paintings, posters, and maybe even a canvas print at home as a keepsake. These are the thoughts about nothing and everything at once. I would like to see more of this in other cities. Well, something like that! Seoul, you are amazing!
