South Africa Wall Art

South African canvas prints are inspiring: bright colors, dancing figures, wildlife. The unusual mix of cultures and art is captivating.

About South Africa

South Africa wall art tends to pull in two directions at once, and I like it for that. On one side you get the wide quiet of the Karoo, acacia trees against an orange sky, elephants and lions framed by golden grass. On the other you get Cape Town under Table Mountain, the painted facades of the Bo-Kaap, and beadwork patterns borrowed from Ndebele and Zulu design. A print of a leopard at dusk reads very differently from a geometric panel in chalky reds and blues, so this set covers a lot of ground.

People hang these for different reasons. Some want to remember a safari or a trip down the Garden Route; others just want a warm, earthy room with a bit of travel in it. The wildlife pieces sit well above a sofa or a reading chair, while the bolder pattern prints work in a hallway or kitchen where you want a jolt of colour.

how it ships

Each design comes three ways: a canvas stretched on a real wood frame, a plain unframed poster, or a poster mounted behind glass. Sizes run from 16x12 up to 40x30 inches, and a 20x16 canvas is $69 if you want a marker to start from. We print with eco-friendly ink and pack everything flat in a fitted box rather than rolling it into a tube, so corners arrive sharp.

If you are still browsing by place, the broader Country collection covers the whole world, and you can jump across to Canada for a colder, mountain-and-lake mood. Both pair nicely on a wall of travel canvas and poster prints.
