About Abstract Black & White
Wonders in Black and White: My Thoughts on Wall Art
Recently I thought about how much a simple painting can influence the mood of your room. Especially if it is done in black and white! The abstract combination of these two opposite colors sometimes creates incredible sensations. The gaze catches on such works and you begin to think about... well, about everything! No joke, black and white posters are sometimes much cooler than color ones.
- I looked at one work, it only had a white background and a couple of black lines - I spent ages studying and trying to understand... what did the artist want to say?
- Here's another example, I once came across a canvas print, it seems that some secret was encrypted in it.
- It's cool when different shapes and geometric figures intertwine in such a way that it looks like a metaphor for life. A little philosophy on the wall doesn't hurt, right?
I once bought myself a poster, since then my rooms look completely different. It really turned out to be a catalyst for change! It seems to be just a picture, but it seems to re-set the accents or, on the contrary, helps to unload the head after a long day.
Why is it cool?
It somehow always attracts the attention of guests - a discussion, an argument begins, sometimes I didn’t even expect how many emotions a simple picture can evoke... Maybe this is all the magic of wall art? And it’s not just about aesthetics.
There is something magical when you look at a canvas print, on which the colors are only black and white, and you understand that... it’s just incredible. Incredibly beautiful, incredibly mysterious. You want to touch...
And everything good usually doesn’t need much explanation. I look at my posters, and it’s as if I’m talking to them. Funny, right? But they fit into my life better than I could have thought.
